A long time ago when the project had just started taking shape in our minds we bought a microphone called Neuman 100, a 3D microphone shaped like a head with ears that record the sounds that a human ear picks up. When you listen headphones you can then hear whispers, footsteps, nature sounds etc that sound like they would if you were there yourself.

This technology became the basis for the 3D Meditation App (working title). It is an app that has several 8-minute long meditations that take you to a forest in Småland, the ocean in Båstad, or a cabin with a roaring fire in Northern Sweden.

The goal is to give young people a place where they can relax, be themselves, and take a break from all external pressures. It’s an important complement to the other parts of the Portal. It’s a place where you can land in yourself.r

The meditation app will be launched during the fall of 2018, but you can already now listen to a samisk joik from the artist Jon Henrik Fjällgren specially created for the project. It’s recorded with the same microphone that’s used to make the meditations for the app and the purpose of the joik is to show the person who is listening that they are valuable.

You are valuable! Jojk by Jon Henrik Fjällgren. Obs! Listen with head phones.
